JTF Sports may photograph or record programs and events. When required or appropriate, we will obtain a separate media release before using an identifiable person’s name, image, voice, likeness, testimonial, or personal story for promotional purposes.

 

Attendance at an event does not automatically authorize JTF Sports to publicly disclose sensitive health, disability, recovery, or personal-history information.

 

You may contact us if you have concerns about an image or story published by JTF Sports. We will review reasonable requests for removal, although removal from materials already printed, distributed, archived, or lawfully provided to third parties may not always be possible.

JTF Sports is a community-based nonprofit and is not a substitute for a healthcare provider or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

 

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act does not automatically apply to every nonprofit that receives health-related information. HIPAA applies when an organization acts as a covered entity or business associate as defined by law.
